A driving license is a mandatory requirement for each and every citizen of UK to drive their vehicle on the road. Get Provisional License

The other way is to apply through post office. To complete your license application, you will have to furnish a few identity confirmation documents like a UK passport, national Insurance number and proof of addresses where you have lived in the past 3 years.
If you are applying through post, you will need to complete the D1 application form. This form is available in local post offices. Send this duly filled form along with original documents that confirm your personal identity, one color passport size photograph, and one cheque for charges.
Send all these documents to DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1AD. If you apply it via post office, it takes nearly 1 to 3 weeks of time to get provisional license. In case of online application, one can receive it soon as well.
Once your application for provisional driving license gets accepted, you will get a green photo card. It is significant as it will be required for all future purposes. Thus, it becomes important to keep at a safe place. You have to bring this photo card at the time of theory and practical driving test. On clearing both the tests successfully, green photo card will be replaced by a pink colored full driving license card.
